<br />COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />DEPARTMENT OF PARKS & RECREATION <br />County of Hawaii Camping Regulations <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />KOHANAIKI BEACH PARK <br /> <br />1. Kohanaiki Beach Park is open daily, 5:30am to 9pm. <br /> <br />2. Camping is available 5 days a week, Thursday to Monday. <br /> <br />3. Maximum of 80 campers per day. <br /> <br />4. Camping zones - North of Puhili Bay to main parking area and south end of Puhili Bay to south gate. <br /> <br />5. Overnight camping by permit only. <br /> <br />6. Overnight parking passes will need to be picked up at the Kohanaiki Security Beach Hale and be visibly displayed on the <br /> dashboard of your vehicle. <br /> <br />7. No one allowed in or out after 9pm or before 5:30am, except for emergencies. <br /> <br />8. Current County of Hawaii Camping Regulations apply. <br /> <br />9. The following are NOT permitted: <br /> <br />Firearms of any kind <br /> <br /> <br />Fireworks <br /> <br /> <br />ATVs, dirt bikes, driving vehicles off established roadways <br /> <br /> <br />Littering, dumping, abandoning vehicles or hazardous materials <br /> <br /> <br />Reckless driving, actions that endanger others <br /> <br /> <br />Illegal drugs, controlled substances and excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages <br /> <br /> <br />Physical abuse, assault or any threatening behavior <br /> <br /> <br />Disturbing the peace (loud music, etc.) <br /> <br /> <br />Animals, except licensed service animals <br /> <br /> <br />Desecration, disturbance of archaeological / cultural sites or anchialine ponds <br /> <br /> <br />Removal of vegetation, sand or rocks <br /> <br /> <br />Open fires. Only hibachi & propane stoves.
