Correspondence to the Board from Patrick Y. Taketa Appraisals, Inc. dated <br />January 23, 2014 regarding the Board’s Decision in Petition No. 2013-06. <br /> <br />5. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />a. Petition No. 2014-01: Initial review of petition alleging that the County of Hawaii, Department of Finance, is in violation of Sections 2-86 and 2-79(3) of the Code of Ethics because Petitioner was “suspended for 2 weeks for violating the Code of Ethics without an informal advisory opinion from the Board of Ethics.” <br /> <br />6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />a. Petition Nos. 2013-05: Review draft order dismissing petition by Michael Drutar alleging that County employee Mary Ann Todd-Waller is in violation of Section 2-84(a)(1) of the Code of Ethics because she was assigned to appraise her own property and set the assessed value of the land of her primary residence. <br /> <br />b. Petition No. 2013-06: Review draft informal advisory opinion regarding the petition by Michael Drutar alleging that County employee Marilyn Veincent is in violation of Section 2-84(a)(1) of the Code of Ethics because she was assigned to appraise her own property and set the assessed value of the land of her primary residence. (The Board found a violation but also recommended that no sanctions be taken against the employee because the violation was due to a policy decision by the employer.) <br /> <br />c. Petition No. 2013-09: Review of draft informal advisory opinion as requested by Gerald Takase, Director of the Department of Liquor Control, regarding whether there would be any conflict or impediments to his serving as a per diem district
