For example, the Managing <br /> Director is assigned pay grade A-19 while the Deputy Managing Director is assigned pay <br /> grade A-18. The County Clerk is assigned pay grade A-17 while the Deputy County <br /> Clerk is assigned pay grade A-16. <br /> The increased costs associated with the Commission's pay adjustments are: <br /> FY 2003-2004 $ 36,178.83 <br /> FY 2004-2005 $188,478.55 <br /> Total Costs Over Two Years $224,657.38 <br /> Details concerning the increased costs are found in the second enclosure. <br /> In addition to the pay adjustments, we have developed and adopted a pay plan whereby: <br /> 1. Incumbents will move to the next higher step in their assigned pay grade after <br /> rendering two years service at the lower step. (An exception is made for <br /> transition purposes to this new pay plan. See enclosure for details.) <br /> 2. All new appointees are to be compensated at Step A of the appropriate pay <br /> grade. An appointing authority may request the Salary Commission to allow <br /> for the appointment to be at a higher step. <br /> 3. Re-elected officials(mayor and prosecuting attorney) may continue to receive <br /> compensation at the step they held immediately prior to their taking office in <br /> the same position. <br /> 4. Executives reappointed to positions in the same or lower pay grades than the <br /> positions they held prior to their reappointment shall be compensated at the <br /> same step they held prior to their reappointment. <br />
