<br />COMMITTEE ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN <br />Friday, November 8, 2013 <br />Convened at Waimea Center <br />65-1158 Mamalahoa Highway, Suite 2C <br />Kamuela, HI 96743 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order by Vice Chairperson Katie Nova at 10:19 a.m. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> <br />PRESENT EXCUSED <br />Katie Nova, Vice-Chair Carol Kitaoka <br />Farrah-Marie-Marie Gomes, Secretary Nancy Kelly <br />Mele Spencer, Treasurer <br />Kim Schneider <br />Hazel Beck <br />Brooke Derby <br />Cyd Hoffeld <br />Elena Cabatu (ex-officio) <br />Margaret Masunaga (ex-officio) <br />Roxanne Aburamen (staff secretary who is replacing Lee Watanabe) <br /> <br /> A quorum was present. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The approval of the minutes for the October 18, 2013 Committee on the Status of <br />Women meeting was delayed until the next meeting. <br /> <br />TREASURER’S REPORT <br />Expenditure reports were presented at the meeting. <br /> <br />On the report, Mele indicated who the final bidder was for the tote bags, the dollar <br />amount and the quantity. <br /> <br />The treasurer’s report indicates the monies expended for items based on the accounting <br />codes, which is easier to follow. <br /> <br />Mele indicated that there’s a discrepancy with the mileage account, which she will clarify <br />with Nikol Lonokapu, Prosecuting Attorney’s accountant. <br /> <br />The treasurer’s report is approved as submitted. <br /> <br /> <br />Hawai‘i County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer <br /> <br /> <br />
