<br />Nancy commented: what is our goal – are we trying to promote the <br />committee? <br />Hazel stated that our goal is to promote the committee and that we’re <br />supporting these projects (robotics, rodeo, soccer, Girls Scouts, etc.), we back <br />gender natural opportunities, groups with no gender divide. <br />We need committee visibility, name recognition. We could put our name on <br />brochures at the different events. <br /> <br />Katie suggested we contact the different organizations to find out how much it <br />cost to put an ad in their program. Brooke will check with AYSO, Hazel will <br />contact Kealakehe High School regarding the robotics and the Rodeo <br />Association. <br /> <br />B. Duties of the Officers and Staff <br />Lee will send the document of duties to the committee members as well as the <br />updated membership list. <br /> Discussion on the duties will be done at the next meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />X.NEW BUSINESS <br />Domestic Violence Family Peace Walk and Vigil <br />Hilo - October 25, 2013 at Aupuni Center <br />Kona – October 19, 2013, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the International <br />Marketplace <br /> <br /> As a committee, we could march with signs, banners, and sign wave. <br /> <br /> It was suggested that we pass out the purple recyclable bag to the marchers. <br /> Lee will send a supply of bags to Carol. <br /> <br /> <br />XI.ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />The December meeting will be on December 6, 2013.
