2014-33 Bath CER CL Testimony 13May 14
It is likely that Sea view is posturing with the nimby attitude. Farris you live in an
adjacent community to them yes?
What alternatives do you see?
Some HPP folks are up roaring, Some HA folks will too.
Do we just walk away from the strong focused work and efforts of others who
created the PCDP and now others who are asking that it be implemented???
The PRIVATELY owned road, that happens to go in front of our home, and
Marlene's, that we legally and lawfully own is the ONLY ER CL route in Puna.
We get traffic from lower Puna daily that is not emergency related.
Likely Sea View folks use it to "cut" or avoid traffic when there is a perfectly
good HDOT public roadway they can use. What reason are some in an uproar?
Remember, this is a Puna district plan. It is inclusive of all.
A precedent has been set in our County with the "PEAR".
I would love to have a conversation relating to this in committee,as last time I was
cut off by a history doesn't matter statement.
We want to work with all communities.
The sea view CL may not be a connection that is in the end chosen.
I do not agreed to pulling the input of those who engaged in the process earlier,
because a few fowl mouth emotion people.
As they get more involved in the process they may understand that this is a time
of DATA gathering from all.
We invite them to look at their area, consider there neighbors and community
needs, reflect and come up with a viable CL alternative.
Respectfully,
Stephanie
Farris speaks of letters
I am a committee member and have not seen them.
Page 2
