Meet the Kona <br />Coordinated Services for the Elderly Staff <br /> <br />Front L to R: Fran Takamiyashiro, Sissy Waite, Junie- <br />Ann Kamoku, Jill Sugiyama; Back: Angie Onaka, <br />Janice Klingenberg and Terry Terada. <br /> <br />Kona Coordinated Services for the Elderly <br />office is located at the West Hawai‘i Civic <br />Center at 74-5044 Ane Keohokalole Highway, <br />Building B, in the Parks and Recreation <br />Office. <br /> <br />Coordinated Services for the Elderly assists <br />Kupuna with information about organizations, <br />agencies, and programs that may be able to <br />help them. CSE also provides outreach to <br />seniors. CSE provides medical transportation, <br />essential shopping, helping seniors acquire <br />benefits. CSE also provides chore services to <br />those who qualify. CSE are also the station <br />managers for the Senior Companion Program <br />on the Big Island. <br /> <br />The Kona CSE supervisor is Junie-Ann <br />Kamoku, who has been with CSE for 25 <br />years. Kona CSE also has three Community <br />Service Worker III; they are Angie Onaka, <br />supervisor for the Information and assistance <br />component, who has been with CSE for 15 <br />years; Terry Terada, transportation <br />supervisor with 10 years of service; Janice <br />Klingenberg, chore supervisor, 5+ years of <br />service; and our new Community Service <br />Worker I, Sissy Waite. Also CSE clerk, Jill <br />Sugiyama, with 13 years of service. <br /> <br /> <br />Mahalo Eileen Matsumoto <br />Eileen Matsumoto is a dedicated volunteer <br />who assists Coordinated Services for the <br />Elderly with manning the CSE office, answering <br />the phones, assisting seniors with filling <br />out registration forms, filing, making copies of <br />documents/needed forms and assisting with <br />many other tasks. <br /> <br />Eileen is meticulous in her work and always <br />willing to take on new tasks. She not only <br />volunteers with CSE, she also mans the <br />information booth at the West Hawai‘i Civic <br />Center, and helps out in the Mayor’s office. <br />She is one busy lady!! <br /> <br />In her spare time, Eileen enjoys gardening, <br />shopping, and exercising by walking Keebe, <br />her dog. <br /> <br />Eileen retired after working 31 years at Kona <br />Community Hospital in the dietary department. <br />Eileen is dedicated to helping her community. <br />She enjoys volunteering as a way of sharing <br />and caring for others. It also helps her to <br />know what is going on in her community and <br />provides her opportunities to learn new skills. <br /> <br />Mahalo Eileen for all your dedication and <br />assistance! <br /> <br />Kupuna News 3 July-September 2014
