<br />COMMITTEE ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN <br />FrIday, April 11, 2014, 10:00 a.m. <br />Convened at <br />Waimea Center Suite 2C <br />65-1158 Mamalahoa Highway, Kamuela <br /> <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Carol Kitaoka at 10:11 a.m. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br />PRESENT EXCUSED <br />Carol Kitaoka, Chair Mele Spencer, Treasurer <br />Katie Nova, Vice-Chair <br />Farrah-Marie Gomes, Secretary <br />Kim Schneider <br />Brooke Derby <br />Hazel Beck <br />Cyd Hoffeld <br />Elena Cabatu, (ex-officio) <br />Margaret Masunaga (ex-officio) <br /> <br />A quorum was present. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />The Agenda was approved with the following additions to New Business: Election of Officers and Budget <br />Request 2015. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the March 14, 2014 meeting were approved with the following corrections and <br />clarifications: <br />TREASURER’S REPORT: Council Member Zendo Kern initially said that he would give $3000; he <br />gave $3500. <br />REPORTS C. Education 1. Equal Pay: Hazel to arrange to have the Governor issue a <br />proclamation. <br />REPORTS C. Education 1. Equal Pay: PayDay candy bars were handed out at Pink Mocha. Candy <br />bars were not handed out at the Women’s Health Center as solicitations are not allowed. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS: May meeting to be held at Prosecutor’s Office (Hilo and Kona) starting at <br />9:00 a.m. July, September and November meetings to be held in Puna Conference Room (Hilo <br />County Building) and West Hawaii Civic Center Mayor’s Office Conference Room. <br /> <br />TREASURER’S REPORT <br /> Treasurer’s Report approved as submitted. <br /> <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />None. <br /> <br />1 <br />04/22/2014 <br />HC CSW 04/11/2014 Meeting Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
