Mileage reimbursement forms given to those who will drive Jill Murray. Also pending <br />approval is one member to dine with Jill Murray each evening ($40 per dinner). Lunch <br />of $15 is included for the person who drives Dr. Murray. Dr. Murray is aware that she <br />needs to pay for her own meals; she will invoice the Prosecutor’s Office after she <br />completes her travel. <br />Invitations to community events will be sent to school principals, police, judges, AAUW <br />and any interested persons. Names and email addresses sent to Roxanne or Mele. <br />It was suggested that Dr. Murray record 60 second messages to play on the radio <br />throughout the year. WAVE 92.1 was suggested as teens listen to that station. <br />Budget revised to reflect lodging ($150/dayx4 nights), no lodging for CSW members, <br />mileage ($500) and handouts (no expenses). <br />Motion made to use Dr. Murray’s left over money for Dr. Murray to do recordings and <br />played within schools throughout the school year and radio, purchase of eBooks and Dr. <br />Murray recording an introduction to the video project on healthy relationships. <br />Seconded. Approved. <br /> <br />4. Real Women Creative Writing Contest <br />Farrah-Marie to submit article to newspaper. Carol will provide total number of <br />applicants and list of schools that participated. <br />Next year, application will include consent/waiver for students’ photos to be used in <br />newspaper articles, HC CSWbrochures, etc. <br /> <br />C. Community Reports <br /> 1. Networking <br />Important to consider how projects or activities are communicated to the public. <br />Community will know about CSW through projects. <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />A. Project ideas – follow up <br /> No report. <br /> <br />B. Civics education citizenship project <br /> Schools (K-12) are mandated to have information on voter registration. <br /> Lawyers In The Schools will talk about voter registration and voter education. <br /> <br />C. Conference <br /> Report from Committee <br />Forum was held on April 2. More that 30 people attended and provided input on general <br />format, speakers and target audience. Conference to be held in March 2015. Possible venues <br />are Mauna Lani, Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel and Hilton Waikoloa. <br /> <br />D. CSW Support <br />County website is current – agenda and minutes are up-to-date. Fact sheet lists current <br />members. <br />CSW will meet with Mitch regarding Roxanne’s tasks and responsibilities.
