Fitzgerald <br />Deputy Director <br />Richardson Ocean Park Closing Temporarily for Little <br />Fire Ant Control <br />The Hawaii County Department of Parks and Recreation will <br />close Hilo's Richardson Ocean Park, weather permitting, at 2 <br />p.m. Thursday, June 19, so maintenance personnel may apply <br />another round of baiting treatments designed to combat little fire <br />ant infestations. <br />Richardson Ocean Park will reopen at 7 a.m. Friday, June 20. <br />The Department of Parks and Recreation apologizes for any <br />inconvenience the short closure may cause and requests the <br />public's patience and understanding while it continues efforts to <br />eliminate little fire ants from Richardson Ocean Park. <br />For more information, please contact Jason Armstrong, Public <br />Information Officer, at 961-8311 or iarmstronq�a co.hawaii.hi.us. <br />99111 <br />County of Hawai'i is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer. <br />
