The Commission took up this item at 10:23 a.m. with seven people from the public in attendance. (SEE EXHIBIT B) RECESSED The Chair called a recess at 10:45 a.m. RECONVENED The meeting reconvened at 10:55 a.m. INITIATOR, COUNTY COUNCIL (Bill No. 191) An ordinance amending Chapter 25, Article 5, Division 14 of the Hawai‘i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as Amended) by allowing Village Commercial (CV) zoning district uses within the Limited Industrial (ML) zoning district. INITIATOR, COUNTY COUNCIL (Bill No. 192) An ordinance amending Chapter 25, Article 5, Division 14 of the Hawai‘i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as Amended) by allowing Village Commercial (CV) zoning district uses within the Industrial-Commercial Mixed Use (MCX) zoning district. The Commission took up these two items simultaneously at 10:55 a.m. with two people from the public in attendance. (SEE EXHIBIT C) MINUTES – The Commission took up the following minutes at 11:15 a.m.: April 17, 2014 – It was moved by Commissioner Hickcox and seconded by Commissioner Whittemore that the minutes be approved as submitted. The motion was unanimously carried by a voice vote. ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS – The Commission took up the following matters at 11:16 a.m.: 1.Status of applications heard by Leeward Planning Commission that are pending before County Council There were no updates. ANNOUNCEMENTS – Ms. Cottle announced that since the next scheduled meeting of June 19, 2014, would likely be cancelled, this meeting would be Commissioner Giffin’s last meeting. She thanked Commissioner Giffin for her many years of services in the past as commissioner and chairperson. Chair Beaudet and the other Commissioners also expressed their appreciation. 2
