And I said no, the County would have to bill them and then the, well how <br />about if they don’t want to pay? I said well, then the County would have to lien the property for <br />payment, and again that’s all in our ordinances, that’s all law, that’s how the County gets money <br />back for people that won’t pay attention to violations. Plain and simple. Now, they then had, <br />because evidentially there had been some friction in that community that I was made aware of. I <br />was told at one time when the Pickens were invited to a brunch that Chris had, about one of the <br />first things out of his mouth, and more than one person had testified to this, or told me about it, <br />well, you’ve just met the biggest a-hole in the neighborhood. That can, you know, that can upset <br />a person. I can’t believe that, you know that’s a shame that somebody would say that about <br />themselves. In the meantime then, these Thompsons, they were very concerned about the <br />Pickens coming after them as far as a community trust broken. So I said, well, you’re not the <br />only one in the community if you feel that you’re going to be singled out you need to talk to your <br />neighbors. It’s as simple as that. <br /> <br />Mr. Balsis: Are there any questions or comments from the Board here? <br /> <br />Mr. Adams: Mr. Northrop, quick question. You indicated that these violations, I assume that <br />when we talk about the violations, you’re talking about the Notice of Violation and DPW Form <br />No. 39? When you talk about those that those are easily obtained? What does that mean, that <br />you can go, anyone can go down to, as a matter of fact, why don’t you walk me through how <br />easily these things are obtained by say, if I wanted to acquire something how do I go get them? <br /> <br />Mr. Northrop: You could get it through the website, the County website, and obtain those <br />ordinances and review the wording. <br /> <br />Mr. Adams: Can I see these individual violations? <br /> <br />Mr. Northrop: I have Chapter 10, Chapter 22, and Chapter 27 of the County… <br /> <br />Mr. Adams: I’m not looking for ordinances Mr. Northrop. You indicate, what you said in your <br />testimony just now was these violations are easily attained by any member of the public. I’m <br />trying to find out… <br /> <br />Mr. Northrop: You’re talking about the Notice of Violation that was issued to the Pickens that <br />was… <br /> <br />Mr. Adams: I’m talking about any Notice of Violation. <br /> <br />Mr. Northrop: Yes, it’s public knowledge once it’s signed by the Director of Public Works. <br /> <br />Mr. Adams: And where is that? Where could I go get that.
