G, 74-5044 Ane <br />Keohokalole Hwy, Kailua-Kona, HI. <br /> <br /> <br />1) CALL TO ORDER – 10:00 a.m. (please turn cell phones off or set to silent) <br /> <br />2) STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC <br /> <br />3) APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br /> <br /> Minutes of the July 22, 2014, Water Board meeting <br /> <br />4) APPROVAL OF ADDENDUM AND/OR SUPPLEMENTAL AGENDA <br />(Note: Addendum requires Roll Call Vote) <br /> <br />5) NORTH HILO: <br /> <br />JOB NO. 2005-870, CONSTRUCTION OF THE LAUPĀHOEHOE (MANOWAI‘OPAE) <br />A. <br />0.5 MG RESERVOIR: <br /> <br />This project generally consists of the construction of a new 0.5 million gallon reinforced concrete <br />water tank and control building, installing an asphalt concrete paved access from Spencer Road <br />(Homestead Road) to the site, as well as appurtenances and site work. It also includes the <br />demolition and removal of an existing 0.10 million gallon reinforced concrete tank, pump control <br />and chlorinator buildings, existing site piping, and appurtenances, and realignment of existing <br />well piping orientation. <br /> <br />Bids were to be opened on August 21, 2014, at 2:30 p.m., and a report will be made at the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014-03, APPROVING THE RECEIPT AND EXPENDITURE OF <br />B. <br />MONIES FOR THE LAUPĀHOEHOE 0.5 MG RESERVOIR (FUNDED BY THE <br />DRINKING WATER STATE REVOLVING FUND (DWSRF): <br /> <br /> <br />(Note: Resolution requires roll call vote) <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2014-03 is for the project for which DWS has submitted a loan application, under <br />the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF). One of the prerequisites for the loan is a <br />Resolution approved by the Water Board. This Resolution is specifically identified for the <br />following project: JOB NO. 2005-870, LAUPĀHOEHOE (MANOWAI‘OPAE) 0.5 MG <br />RESERVOIR, and authorizes the Manager–Chief Engineer or Deputy to execute loans and/or <br />grants with the State Department of Health for up to $2,894,958.00. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the Water Board adopt DRINKING WATER <br />STATE REVOLVING FUND RESOLUTION NO. 2014-03, subject to approval by Corporation <br />Counsel as to form and legality. <br /> <br /> <br />Page 1 of 4 Water Board Agenda 8-26-14 <br /> <br /> <br />
