PG:Be 11 <br />This worksheet, to be completed by the applicant, is required for residential PV system <br />applications. If the drawings are prepared and stamped by a Hawaii registered professional <br />architect or structural engineer, then the worksheet is not required. The installation of a roof <br />mounted PV system can be complex and it is recommended (but not required) that the stricture <br />be reviewed by a registered professional architect or structural engineer. <br />U W.11► M.11►1 /► <br />A) Building <br />1) A location site plan must be to scale showing the location of major strictures <br />on the property 1" = 20' or larger is preferred. Provide legal owner's name <br />and tax map key on each drawing. <br />2) A roof plan (scale 1/8" = 1'-0") with PV arrays on dwellings with a minimum <br />of 10 -inches clear space along the roof ridge. (1) PV <br />modules shall slot be installed urithin 10 inches of a roof edge or ridge; (?) <br />The distance betiveen the roof or urall stn face and the PV module must be <br />behreen 2 and 10 inches; (3) A mininium gap q/ 0.75 inch must exist behreen <br />PV modules and adjacent i-otivs of modules. (See Exhibit A) <br />a) Show array supports, framing members. <br />b) Provide information on roof mounting structure(s) constriction. <br />c) Detail the module attachment method. <br />B) Electrical (See Exhibits B -C) <br />1) Location plan showing strictures and their vicinity 1" = 20' or larger is <br />preferred. <br />2) Provide information on roof mounting systems. <br />3) A standard electrical diagram showing PV array configuration, wiring system, <br />over current protection, inverter, disconnects, required markings or labels and <br />AC connection to the building. <br />4) Provide specification sheets, and installation manuals for all manufactured <br />components including, but not limited to PV modules, inverters, combiner <br />box, and mounting system. These will be returned after the review. <br />5) The electrical diagram (E1.1) maybe used to accurately represent the PV <br />system. <br />6) Please indicate the methods and product for this installation. Refer to the PV <br />bulletins for the list of County pre approved PV mounting systems. <br />7) For Barriers, refer to NEC 690-31 on Wiring. <br />C) Field revisions will require two sets of "as -built" drawings for review and approval. <br />FEES <br />Calculate the fees for all the work to be performed on the electrical permit application and <br />building permit worksheet. On the building permit worksheet, complete the "Estimated <br />Valuation for all work to be performed." <br />
