Salary Commission February 26, 2014 <br />attorneys for the County of Hawaii as well as take into account the comparable <br />salaries from the counties of Kauai and Maui. <br />By giving a pay raise, you're able to attract and recruit the best to serve the <br />people of our island community, and we would like retain them as long as <br />possible. <br />He worked at the Prosecuting Attorney's Office and at the Corporation <br />Counsel's Office and is familiar with the type of work performed by these <br />departments—the complexity of the cases and amount of time spent as well as <br />the quality of work performed. Both officers are deserving of pay raises. <br />APPROVAL OF The Chair directed the Commission to proceed to the next order of business, <br />MINUTES Approval of Minutes of December 12, 2013. <br />Item 4): <br />Motion to Approve: Ms. Lundkvist moved that the minutes of December 12, 2013, be approved. <br />The motion was seconded by Ms. Stroh. <br />The roll call vote to approve the Minutes of December 12, 2013, was <br />as follows: <br />AYES: Commission Members De Lima, Lundkvist, Stroh, Sumja, <br />and Chair Lassiter – 5. <br />NOES: None. <br />ABSENT: Commission Members Handgis and Morimoto – 2. <br />EXCUSED: None. <br />COMMUNI- The Chair directed the Commission to proceed to the next order of business, <br />CATIONS Communications. <br />Item 5): <br />(There were none.) <br />Page 2 <br />
