Van Bergen <br />Deputy Director <br />Hilo's Kuhio Kalaniana`ole Park Closing <br />October 18 for Community Cleanup <br />Hilo's Kuhio Kalaniana`ole Park will be closed on Saturday, October 18, <br />while community volunteers clean the coastal park and beach areas. <br />Members of the East Hawaii Rotary Clubs, who were responsible for the <br />park's development, will perform the cleanup work as part of their <br />continuing efforts to further enhance the park. <br />Kuhio Kalaniana`ole Park will reopen on Sunday, October 19, and operate <br />according to normal hours. <br />The Department of Parks and Recreation sends a special mahalo to these <br />Rotarians for their volunteer help.
