Van Bergen <br />Deputy Director <br />Saturday's Mayor's Health Fest, Keiki Triathlon <br />Cancelled Due to Tropical Storm Ana <br />The Mayor's 2014 Health Fest and Keiki Triathlon scheduled for Saturday, <br />October 18, at Kailua Park have been cancelled due to approaching <br />Tropical Storm Ana. <br />Hawaii Island is expected to experience strong winds, high surf and heavy <br />rain should Tropical Storm Ana make landfall here. <br />Due to the anticipated hazardous weather, the decision was made to <br />cancel the events to protect the public and encourage motorists to stay off <br />the roads. <br />The Department of Parks and Recreation and the Hawaii Isle Police <br />Activities League, triathlon co-sponsors, thank event participants and the <br />general public for understanding the need to focus on public safety. <br />For more information, please contact Jason Armstrong, Public Information <br />Officer, at 961-8311 or iarmstronq�a hawaiicountgov. <br />991111 <br />County of Hawai'i is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer. <br />
