Community awareness <br />Committee members will help create public awareness of the process at <br />community meet*n9s and in individual dii,esocussions with people in your <br />community. <br />Send notification of the process to mailing list contacts including community <br />associations, special community groups and individuals who are the primary <br />source of referrals of information for creating agenda items. Note, this list may <br />have to be updated periodically to ensure that notification is being sent to the <br />correct person. <br />Media releases- Add a line or two to the North Hawaii News calendar, if there is <br />a special item that the public may want to provide input/testimony to the <br />Committee. Examples may include major subdivision permits, shoreline and <br />historical sites, park development, adequate water supply and wastewater <br />treatment issues and other items relating to the SKCDP,, <br />Joel will volunteer to write short press releases to local papers including the <br />North Hawaii News, West Hawaii News, and other media, if needed. <br />Recommendations <br />Briefly discuss the process for additional review by Committee members for <br />placement on the March 24 agenda for final approval. <br />Make preparations for the establishment of this feature on the SKCDPAC <br />website. <br />Review and update mailing distribution list and send message to the <br />recipients o providing information relating to the role of the SKCDPAIC and <br />to encourage participation in the process,, <br />Maintain a log ofr <br />mail messages received which includes date received, <br />name of the sen2, organization represented ff applicable, for discussion, <br />and action taken by the Committee. <br />Review the process in 6 months to determine effectiveness and need for <br />IF <br />improvement. <br />
