Van Bergen <br />Deputy Director <br />NAS Swimming Pool to Remain Open October 30 <br />Hilo's NAS Swimming Pool will remain open Thursday, October 30, and <br />operate according to normal schedules. <br />The Department of Parks and Recreation had announced it would close the <br />pool on October 30 so Hawaii Electric Light could install new utility poles <br />that service the swimming pool. <br />However, the electrical utility has since had to postpone that scheduled <br />work.
