Brooke moved for <br />CSW to sponsor the event, help promote it and distribute our recyclable bags <br />to attendees, and to donate $50 to support the event. Second by Carol. <br />Motion approved. <br /> <br />No correspondence <br /> <br />Reports <br /> <br />Committee decided to table Section VIII due to time constraints. <br /> <br />Unfinished business <br />Reviewed ideas from last meeting on how committee could continue <br />publicizing teen dating violence prevention. Four major areas were selected <br />including printed publicity of hot line, dating bill of rights, safety plan etc; <br />cell phone app contest to develop app and execute it; campaign aimed at <br />young men ie “Don't Be that Guy” or “Real Man” campaign; and a summit <br />for teens and to provide training for counselors, educators, parents. <br /> <br />Mission Statement <br />Mele moved to adopt new mission statement as written in CSW brochure. <br />Second by Brooke. ‘The Hawaii County Committee on the Status of <br />Women (CSW), working with the Hawaii State Commission on Status of <br />Women (HSCSW), promotes equality for women and girls in the County <br />by acting as a catalyst for positive change through advocacy, education, <br />collaboration and program development.’ Motion was approved. <br /> <br /> <br />CSW Brochure <br />Discussed changes, Brooke will finish brochure. <br /> <br />New Business <br />Cyd had asked CSW to help with expenses of Ladies Nite Out. Katie moved <br />to allocate $200 to Ladies Nite Out, motion seconded by Brooke. Motion <br />was approved. <br /> <br />Bylaws: <br /> <br />
