80 Deanne also reminded the Action Committee of a motion that was made last <br />81 year for Planning Department Staff to send the information of important <br />82 permits to all of the AC members, allowing them to review and request to <br />83 have items added to the agenda for future discussion. <br />84 SUBCOMMITTEE REPORTS <br />85 a.Waikoloa – John informed the Action Committee that they did not have <br /> <br />86 their meeting on the second Wednesday because there was another <br />87 meeting that discussed the Aina Lea project. <br />88 b.Kawaihae – Jojo <br /> <br />89 c.Puako – John Hoover gave an informal report that things are moving <br /> <br />90 very well there. A number of studies are underway and moving toward <br />91 some choices as it comes to waste water treatment styles. He also <br />92 reported that the wildfire organization held an update meeting in Puako <br />93 and they are going to have conversations in Waimea and Waikoloa. He <br />94 pointed out that it was important to be involved in these meetings and <br />95 the resulting report for future access to grants and other funds. <br />96 d.Waimea – Joel brought up the topic of Dutch Kuyper with Parker Ranch <br /> <br />97 and Paniolo Power. He went into detail on the importance of this project <br />98 for now and the future. <br />99 e.District Wide – No updates <br /> <br />100 f.Long Term Education Planning – Joel informed the AC that he and John <br /> <br />101 have been working together and that he feels very strongly that <br />102 education is a local issue in community and economic development. <br />103 g.Other Reports <br /> <br />104 i.Liaison Reports <br /> <br />105 1.Traffic Safety Committee – Jojo brought up the Kawaihae Bypass <br /> <br />106 Road and thanked Council Woman Margaret Wille for attending <br />107 the Kailapa Annual Membership Meeting. <br />108 STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC REGARDING ITEMS ON AGENDA <br />109 Margaret Wille spoke briefly on transportation and traffic in Waimea and also in <br />110 Waikoloa. <br />111 Jojo asked if we could get someone to come in and speak about the Waimea transit <br />112 plan.
