Van Bergen <br />Deputy Director <br />Kona Swimming Pool Closing for Repair, <br />Maintenance May 29 - June 3 <br />The County of Hawaii Department of Parks and Recreation announces it <br />will close the Kona Community Aquatic Center Friday, May 29, through <br />Wednesday, June 3, to perform needed repair and maintenance work. <br />Normal operations will resume Thursday, June 4, when the swimming pool <br />will reopen at 6:15 a.m. for public and recreational swimming. <br />During the temporary closure, the Department of Parks and Recreation will <br />replace restroom partitions, replace plumbing fixtures, install a new <br />circulation pump, and perform other related maintenance tasks. <br />The Department of Parks and Recreation thanks pool users and the <br />general public for their understanding and patience while the pool is being <br />improved. <br />For more information about operating hours or programs offered at the <br />Kona Community Aquatic Center, please call 327-3500 or go online at- <br />http://www.hawaiicounty.gov/pr-aguatics/. <br />-30- <br />County of Hawai'i is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer. <br />
