<br />MATSUOKA: Yes. <br /> <br />MIYASATO: Please state your name and residence. <br /> <br />FUKE: Good morning, Mr. Chairman, Members of the Commission. My name is Sidney Fuke, <br />and I’m a planning consultant, and I’m here assisting the applicant, Miss Yuri Matsuoka who is <br />seated to my left. My business address is 100 Pauahi Street, Hilo, Hawai‛i. <br /> <br />The staff’s Background Report and the proposed conditions were reviewed by the applicant, and <br />she found them to be totally acceptable. The report is comprehensive and reasonable and fair, <br />and the conditions were. Ms. Matsuoka, her son is by the way sitting down over there also, she’s <br />kind of semi-retired, and she just is looking for some additional company, you know, when the <br />son goes away, and in addition to that to help supplement her income. It’s a relatively large <br />house. It’s a two, 2-story dwelling, and there’s currently like five bedrooms that, that she would <br />like to have be utilized for a b&b operation, so we respectfully request your favorable <br />consideration of her request. <br /> <br />MIYASATO: Commissioners, any questions for the applicant? None, thank you. <br /> <br />FUKE: Thank you. <br /> <br />MIYASATO: We have any public—no one signed up for public testimony. Is anyone wishing <br />to testify on this matter this morning? If not, can I have a motion to close public testimony. <br /> <br />IKEDA: Move to close file. <br /> <br />MIYASATO: Can I have a second? <br /> <br />HENKEL: Second. <br /> <br />MIYASATO: All in favor? <br /> <br />COMMISSIONERS: Aye. <br /> <br />MIYASATO: Any opposed? I’ll call a close to the public testimony. Commissioners, any <br />discussion on this matter? If not, I’ll accept a motion. <br /> <br />IKEDA: Chairman Miyasato, I’ll make the motion. <br /> <br />MIYASATO: Commissioner Ikeda. <br /> <br />IKEDA: I move that, that the application for use docket, permit docket number USE 15-052 be <br />approved based on the Planning Director’s findings and recommendations and proposed <br />conditions which shall be adopted. <br /> <br /> <br />3 <br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br /> <br />
