Van Bergen <br />Deputy Director <br />New Pavilion to be Built at Hilo's <br />Onekahakaha Beach Park <br />The Department of Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce the <br />upcoming construction of a new beachside pavilion at Hilo's popular <br />Onekahakaha Beach Park. <br />Construction of a replacement pavilion #7 is scheduled to start on Monday, <br />August 3. Project contractor BCP Construction of Hawaii Inc. will cordon <br />off the Keaukaha end of the park's dirt parking lot, which will remain closed <br />until the construction project is completed in December. <br />The adjacent bathrooms, picnic tables and other areas of Onekahakaha <br />Beach Park will remain open daily. <br />The Department of Parks and Recreation apologizes for any inconvenience <br />caused by the construction project and thanks park users for their patience <br />while the new pavilion is being built. <br />For more information, please contact Jason Armstrong, Public Information <br />Officer, at 961-8311 or iarmstronq�a hawaiicountgov. <br />-30- <br />County of Hawai'i is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer. <br />
