PCDP Goal, Objective & Action Items <br />Progress Update <br />going. <br />3.3.3 a. Develop a centrally located, 24- <br />o PCMC has received donations from: <br />hour, full- service medical facility, with <br />Nanawale CA ($1,000) and Hawaiian <br />trauma care, in Puna. <br />Beaches CA ($1,293) to support the Building <br />Fund for its proposed Emergency Room. <br />o PCMC received $5,000 from Councilman <br />Zendo Kern's contingency fund to help defray <br />the costs of planning and permitting. <br />o A State Grant -in -Aid application to fund the <br />planning and permitting costs of the PCMC <br />emergency room resulted in a $750,000 <br />award. <br />o A Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) <br />was issued in June 2014 for the Final <br />Environmental Assessment submitted for the <br />use of State Land for the proposed relocation <br />of the Puna Community Medical Center. <br />3.5.3 b. Improve and expand Coastal <br />o Funding to make corrections in signage, <br />Activity Areas as follows: <br />security, and fencing are identified in the <br />1) At Ahalanui Beach Park... <br />current County capital improvement budget <br />(Clp),I <br />2) Modifications to tidepools east of <br />o �AC Champion & community group met with <br />Pohoiki Bay ... for "keiki pools"... <br />Councilmen Ilagan and Kern to present ideas <br />o Parks and Recreation sent letter supporting <br />the project to Sen. Russell Ruderman. <br />o July 2013 - Group met with Sen. Russell <br />Ruderman at Pohoiki and discussed the <br />community vision and how to proceed from <br />here. <br />o Resolution 133 -13 approved by the Council <br />supporting the development of a safe <br />swimming area near the Pohoiki Boat Ramp. <br />II <br />- Comment [SH7]: Need to confirm <br />- Comment [SH8]: What is the status of these <br />projects? <br />Comment [KM9R8]: I have emailed Oshi to see <br />what updates she can provide us with. <br />
