UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />5.APPLICANT:CHARLES E. LIPPS, JR. AND JANET S. LIPPS TRUST (REZ 15-187) <br /> <br />Continued hearing on the application for a Change of Zone from an Agricultural-3 acre (A-3a) <br />to a Family Agricultural-1 acre (FA-1a) zoning district for approximately 3.039 acres of <br />land. The property is located on Hiona Street, approximately 1,000 feet west of its intersection <br />rd <br />with Māmalahoa Highway, Keopu 3, North Kona, Hawai‘i, TMK: 7-5-024:078. <br /> <br />The Commission took up this item at 10:37 a.m. with approximately twelve people from the <br />public in attendance. <br /> <br />(SEE EXHIBIT D) <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />6.INITIATOR: PLANNING DIRECTOR (GPA-14-002) <br /> <br />An amendment to Map 14 of the Land Use Pattern Allocation Guide (LUPAG) Map of the <br />County of Hawai‛i General Plan (adopted by Ordinance No. 05-025, amended by Ordinance <br />Nos. 06-153 and 14-087) by changing the land use designation for portions of Kea‘au Village <br />and immediately surrounding area as follows: <br /> <br /> Low Density Urban to Medium Density Urban <br />A-1: encompassing a contiguous area of <br />approximately 475 acres from approximately 0.3 miles northwest (makai) of the <br />intersection of Kea‘au-Pāhoa Bypass Road and Highway 11 (Volcano Highway) to and <br />including the area in the vicinity of Ulupono and Milo Streets, extending south of Kukula <br />Street and then in a westerly direction to the boundary of the Kea‘au Ag Lots Subdivision <br />to the Highway 11-Old Volcano Highway intersection along the Old Volcano Highway <br /> <br />leading to the Village core. <br /> <br /> Important Agricultural Land to Medium Density Urban <br />A-2: encompassing the <br />triangular area of approximately 112 acres from Kukula Street-Kea‘au Bypass Road <br />intersection south to the Kea‘au Bypass Road-Kea‘au Pāhoa Road intersection, and then <br />approximately to the northeastern corner of the Kea‘au Ag Lots Subdivision. <br /> <br />The Commission took up this item at 10:54 a.m. with six people from the public in attendance. <br /> <br />(SEE EXHIBIT E) <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />June 18, 2015 meeting – The Commission approved the minutes as submitted during the hearing <br />on Agenda Item No. 5 (SEE EXHIBIT D). \[The motion was made by Commissioner Church, <br />seconded by Commissioner Nobriga, and unanimously carried by a voice vote of all <br />Commissioners present.\] <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS – The Commission took up the following matters at 11:09 a.m. <br />with five people from the public in attendance. <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br /> <br />
