<br /> <br />3.INITIATOR: COUNTY COUNCIL INITIATED (Bill No. 102 Re: REZ 07-073) <br />A Bill amending Ordinance No. 10-110 (Applicant: Jin Soo and Ran Hui Iida), which <br />amended Ordinance No. 08-39, which originally reclassified lands from Single Family <br />Residential-10,000 square feet (RS-10) to Neighborhood Commercial-20,000 square feet <br />(CN-20) zoning district for 23,559 square feet of land. Bill No. 102 proposes the amendment <br />of Ordinance No. 10-110 by extending the deadline to submit required water commitment <br />payment and complete the proposed commercial development and eliminate various required <br />improvements to the Kinoʽole Street frontage of the subject property which is located along <br />the west side of Kīlauea Avenue, approximately 420 feet south of the Kīlauea Avenue- <br />Puainako Street intersection at Waiākea, South Hilo, Hawaiʽi, TMK: 2-2-004:121. <br /> <br /> <br />4.INITIATOR: PLANNING DIRECTOR <br />Designation of “redevelopment area” for that area encompassing properties along Banyan <br />Drive, Lihiwai Street and Kamehameha Avenue located within the Waiākea District of the <br />City of Hilo in accordance with Section 53-1, Hawaiʽi Revised Statutes regarding the <br />Hawaiʽi Redevelopment Agency as administered by the County of Hawaiʽi Planning <br />Department pursuant to Section 16-10 of the Hawaiʽi County Charter. Should this proposed <br />redevelopment area be so designated by the Windward Planning Commission, the Planning <br />Department may then undertake and carry out a redevelopment project(s) within all or any <br />part of these redevelopment areas that may include the planning, development, replanning, <br />redesign, clearance, reconstruction or rehabilitation, or any combination of these as deemed <br />appropriate or necessary in the interest of the general welfare and in accordance with <br />procedures and authorities set forth in Chapter 53, Part I (Urban Redevelopment Act) and <br />Part II (Urban Renewal), Hawaiʽi Revised Statutes. <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS – 10:00 a.m. <br /> <br /> <br />5.APPLICANT: ARROW OF OREGON/HAWAII, LLC (Amend SPP 09-076) <br />Continued hearing on the application for an amendment to Special Permit No. 09-076, which <br />was approved to allow a cinder and rock quarry operation on 5.003 acres of land situated <br />within the State Land Use Agricultural District. The amendment will add 8.009 acres for a <br />total of 13.012 acres of land. The properties are located northwest of Mahimahi Drive, <br />between Lurline Lane and Liliana Lane within the Hawaiian Ocean View Estates <br />Subdivision, Kahuku, Ka‘ū, Hawai‘i, TMK: 9-2-148:005, 006-010, 015, 016 & 036. <br /> <br /> <br />6.APPLICANTS: DAVID AND LAURA RODRIGUES (SPP 15-178) <br />Continued hearing regarding the application for a Special Permit to allow a cinder and rock <br />quarry operation on 5.003 acres of land situated within the State Land Use Agricultural <br />District. The properties are located on the northeast and southeast corners of Kailua <br />Boulevard and Lurline Lane, Hawaiian Ocean View Estates Subdivision, Kahuku, Ka‘ū, <br />Hawai‘i, TMKs: 9-2-142:020, 021, 022 & 9-2-145:047, 048. <br /> <br />The Commission anticipates convening an executive meeting regarding Item Nos. 5 and 6 above, <br />pursuant to Section 92-5(a)(4), Hawai‘i Revised Statutes, for the purpose of consulting with the <br />Commission’s attorney on questions and issues pertaining to the Commission’s powers, duties, <br />privileges, immunities, and liabilities. A 2/3 vote pursuant to Hawai‘i Revised Statutes, Section <br />92-4 and Planning Commission Rule 1-5(e) is necessary to hold an executive meeting. <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
