Van Bergen <br />Deputy Director <br />Hilo's Charles "Sparky" Kawamoto Swim Stadium <br />Closing Temporarily for Repairs on Friday, January 29 <br />The Hawaii County Department of Parks and Recreation will close Hilo's <br />Charles "Sparky" Kawamoto Swim Stadium all day Friday, January 29, so <br />needed repairs and maintenance may be performed at the pool. <br />Normal operating hours will resume on Saturday, January 30, when <br />Kawamoto Swim Stadium will reopen for public recreational and adult lap <br />swimming at 8:30 a.m. <br />The Department of Parks and Recreation apologizes for any inconvenience <br />the temporary closure might cause and thanks pool patrons for their <br />understanding while the needed repair and maintenance work is <br />performed. <br />Operating schedules, events listing, and holiday closures for each of <br />Hawaii County's nine swimming pools are listed online at- <br />http://www.hawaiicounty.gov/pr-aguatics/.
