Passing lanes are few and far <br />between,- should be every 3 to 8 miles, based on national standards. Inadequate passing zones, frequently <br />lead to inappropriate and dangerous passing, such as drivers speeding to get past other vehicles. Current <br />highway speed limit is 55 mph. <br />
