The strengths of the affordable housing delivery system in the County is derived from
the many different entities striving toward one common goal; to provide for more affordable housing in
Hawaii. State, Federal and County agencies, private non - profits, private social service providors, private
lenders and private for - profit developers are doing their part to respond to the urgency of the housing
situation in Hawaii. New programs are continully being established to form tax incentives, low- interest
intermin financing, bond financing, rental susidies and other creative development techniques to
provide affordable housing. Despite all of these efforts the availability of affordable housing will not be
developed unless massive amounts of funding is available.
Annual Action Plan 37
2016
OMB Control No: 2506 -0117 (exp. 07/31/2015)
