Komata <br />Deputy Director <br />Hawaii County Department of Parks and Recreation <br />Presents Easter at the Plaza March 25 in Hilo <br />The Hawaii County Department of Parks and Recreation, in partnership <br />with several groups and businesses, invites keiki age 17 and younger to its <br />free Easter at the Plaza holiday event Friday, March 25, at Hilo's Prince <br />Kuhio Plaza. <br />Registration opens at 9:30 a.m. at the plaza's center court. Keiki activities, <br />including Easter crafts, coloring station, carnival games, tattoos, face <br />painting, and balloon sculpting, will be offered from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. <br />Prize giveaways will occur every half-hour. <br />A special milk drinking contest, sponsored by the Hilo Jaycees and Kandi's <br />Drive -Inn, and an ice cream eating contest, sponsored by Dairy <br />Queen/Orange Julius, will be held at 12:30 p.m. Contests open to keiki age <br />12 and younger. <br />Easter at the Plaza is a drug-, alcohol- and tobacco -free event. <br />The Department of Parks and Recreation thanks partners Prince Kuhio <br />Plaza, Hilo High School Key Club and AVID, Waiakea High School Key <br />Club, Hilo Jaycees, Living Waters Assembly, Circle K at the University of <br />Hawaii at Hilo, East Hawaii Kiwanis, and Kandi's Drive -Inn for helping <br />sponsor the Easter at the Plaza event. <br />For more information, please contact the Hilo Recreation Division of the <br />Department of Parks and Recreation at 938-2014. <br />-30- <br />County of Hawai'i is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer. <br />
