❖ Kohala Shoreline, LLC <br />➢ We need an update from the county Planning Department on the draft Environmental <br />Assessment prepared last fall. <br />➢ The archeological survey was not approved. <br />■ The planning department should be sending out letters to people who commented on <br />the EA, prior to sending the department's recommendation on the final draft to <br />OQEC. <br />❖ Kohala Kai <br />■ NSTR. <br />❖ Kohala Waterfront <br />➢ We need an update from the county Planning Department. <br />■ The county hasn't received any information on the trail re-routing proposal from the <br />homeowners association. <br />❖ New Items <br />➢ Personnel from the Survey Office of the state DLNR Land Department are willing to <br />teach the public on how to document shoreline certification. <br />■ We will participate. <br />➢ NPS RTCA (Rivers Trails and Conservation Assistance) Program staff Meredith <br />Speicher will be at the March meeting to present her report on the status of the Mahukona <br />to Niuli'i Railroad right of way. <br />➢ Ala Kahakai is waiting for a right of entry for the areas between Kohala Shoreline and <br />Lapakahi <br />■ The ROE is for documentation of trails, cultural sites, firebreaks, & prevent rock <br />picking <br />❖ Next meeting <br />➢ March 2, 2016 starting 4:30pm at Old Courthouse <br />Page 1 2 <br />
