Board questioned the agreed to land value in Case No. 19601, TMK 6-9-011-014-0000 as <br />being below the taxpayer's requested value. County appraiser Angie Metriyakool was <br />present and responded. <br />Board questioned the agreed to building value in Case No. 19181, TMK 7-3-051-044-0001. <br />Mr. Sitko responded for the County. <br />No further questions. <br />Mr. Takai moved to accept the 1:30 settlement as listed on pages 1 and 2 of the <br />agenda. Seconded by Mr. Church. A call for discussion was made. Motion passed by <br />a vote of 3:0. <br />CASE #19602 — BRUINGTON, EUGENE <br />TMK 7-3-033-033-0000 <br />Case was called at 1:42 p.m. and appellant was not present. County appraiser assigned to <br />the case, Mary Ann Todd -Waller, also was not present. Mr. Pike informed the Board he did <br />not have an information packet available for the Board for the case and that the appraiser <br />was back at the office. Mr. Pike stated that the appraiser had provided him with an unsigned <br />settlement letter that was sent to the appellant. Mr. Pike further stated that the appraiser had <br />received a verbal agreement from the appellant and that the signed original was being mailed <br />to the Real Property Tax office. The Board presented questions to Mr. Masuda and <br />requested guidance as to the rules and options of the Board. Mr. Masuda advised the Board <br />that it was their option to continue the case to the next available hearing date so they could <br />be presented with the complete packet with case information and also that an unsigned <br />agreement is not binding. <br />Mr. Takai moved to reschedule the hearing to September. Seconded by Mr. Church. A <br />call for discussion was made. Motion passed by a vote of 3:0. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />No discussion held on old business. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />No discussion held on new business. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />The next appeal hearings are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, July 18 and 19, in <br />Hilo. <br />0 <br />
