Mrs. Ford moved to accept sustain the County's values. Seconded by Mr. Takai. A <br />call for discussion was made. Motion passed by a vote of 4:0. <br />CASE #15574 — MOSS, SUSAN & SANBORN, J WILLIAM <br />TMK 6-4-006-049-0000 <br />Present were appellants Susan Moss and William Sanborn. Mr. McCall presented on behalf <br />of Clerical Supervisor June Ban. Also present was County appraiser John Totten <br />Property located at 64-5176 Kamamalu Street in Kamuela. <br />Appeal on land and building values and denial of homeowners class. Mr. McCall informed <br />the Board that a settlement had been reached with the appellants with building value at <br />$448,500, land value at $280,800 and exemption at $160,000. The denial of the <br />homeowners class was the issue for the hearing. <br />Appellants presented their case. County presented their case and recommended sustaining <br />the denial. A call for questions was made. <br />Mr. Takai moved to continue the hearing to allow the County to obtain an expert from <br />the Planning Department to explain the home occupation guidelines or a letter from <br />them explaining the issue. No second was received to the motion. Motion dies. <br />Mrs. Ford moved to accept the settlement values of building at $448,500 and land at <br />$280,800 with exemption at $160,000 and deny the homeowners class. Seconded by <br />Mr. Kualii. A call for discussion was made. Motion passed by a vote of 3:1 with Mr. <br />Takai voting against the motion. <br />CASE #15560 & 15562 — SANBORN TRUST, J WILLIAM <br />TMK 6-8-001-008-0002 and 6-8-001-008-0003 <br />Present were appellant J. William Sanborn. Mr. McCall presented for the County. <br />Property located across the highway from the Waimea/Kohala Airport. <br />Appeal on land and building values. <br />Appellant presented his case. County presented their case and recommended the following: <br />Case No. 15560 reducing the land value to $527,700 and reducing the building to $241,800; <br />Case No. 15562 reducing the land value to $420,400. A call for questions was made. <br />For Case No. 15560, Mrs. Ford moved to reduce the building value to $166,200 and <br />land value to $527,700. Seconded by Mr. Takai.
