This item ended at 11:14 a.m. MINUTES — The Commission took this item up at 11:14 a.m. Approval of Minutes of the May 5, 2016 meeting — It was moved by Commissioner Moses, and seconded by Commissioner Dela Cruz, that the minutes of May 5, 2016, be approved as circulated. Motion was carried by a voice vote (Heaukulani, Dela Cruz, Henkel, Ikeda, and Moses.) [New Commissioner, Joseph Clarkson, did not participate.] ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS At 11:15 a.m., Director Kanuha thanked Chairman Heaukulani for his service on the Commission and for his excellence, professionalism, and aloha in guiding the Commission as Chairman, and presented him with the Mayor's Certificate of Appreciation. The Commission took up the following at 11:15 a.m.: Election of Officers for the remainder of 2016. Commissioner Henkel volunteered for the chairmanship of the Commission for the remainder of 2016. It was seconded by Commissioner Ikeda and unanimously carried by a voice vote of all Commissioners present. Commissioner Ikeda declined a nomination by Commissioner Henkel for Vice -Chairman. Commissioner Ikeda nominated Commissioner Miyasato for Vice -Chairman, which was seconded by Commissioner Henkel, and unanimously carried by a voice vote of all Commissioners present. ANNOUNCEMENTS — At 11:20 a.m., Mr. Darrow stated that the Commission's July 7th meeting tentatively had five items scheduled on the agenda. ADJOURNMENT — There being no further business, it was moved by Commissioner Moses and seconded by Commissioner Henkel that the meeting be adjourned. Motion was unanimously carried by a voice vote of all Commissioners in attendance.
