Hawai'i Police Commission <br />Meeting Agenda <br />July 15, 2016 <br />Page 2 <br />(CLOSED SESSION AT APPROXIMATELY 10:00 A.M.) <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION (Closed to the public.) <br />The commission will meet in executive session to consult with Corporation Counsel on <br />questions and issues pertaining to the commission's powers, duties, privileges, <br />immunities, and liabilities; to consider discipline and charges against officers or <br />employees of the Hawaii Police Department; and to consider sensitive matters relating to <br />public safety pursuant to HRS 92-5 (a) (2) (4) (6) and the Hawai'i County Charter Section <br />13-20 (b). <br />Consultation with Corporation Counsel on the Commission's powers, duties, <br />privileges, immunities, and liabilities <br />Consideration and Investigation of Complaints (briefly summarized) <br />✓ Complaint HPC 16-09: Complainant alleged that an officer caused a dangerous <br />situation when he pulled in front of him, and that the officer had an arrogant <br />attitude. <br />✓ Complaint HPC 16-11: Complainant complained about the manner in which an <br />officer conducted a traffic stop. <br />✓ Complaint HPC 16-19: Complainant was involved in a domestic altercation. She <br />alleged that an officer kicked her, and that she was not taken to the hospital. <br />✓ Complaint HPC 16-24: The Police was called to do a welfare check on the <br />complainant.
