<br />May 25, 2016 KONACOMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PLAN <br />ACTION COMMITTEE MINUTES <br /> <br />Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at 2:00pm <br />West Hawaii Civic Center, Planning Dept. Conference Room <br /> <br />ATTENDANCE <br />1. Members Present: Hiram Rivera, Barbara DeFranco, Kari Kimura, Curtis <br />Tyler, Douglas Payne, Charles Young, George “Keoki” Schattauer, and <br />Shane Nelson. <br />2. Members Absent: Gregory Ogin. <br />3. Public Attendance: James McClean, Janice Palma Glennie, Jeff Zimpfer, <br />Susan Wells Fischer, Riley Smith, and Kekaulike Tomich. <br />4. Planning Department Present: Rosalind Newlon and Bennett Mark. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 2:05 pm by Hiram Rivera. <br /> <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC: <br /> <br />Janice Palma Glennie read from her written comments on six items that are <br />addressed on today’s agenda. Copies will be made available when received. <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS: <br /> <br />1. Minutes of the Meeting of April 27, 2016, <br />Barbara DeFranco made a motion to approve the minutes and Doug Payne <br />seconded that motion. The motion was carried unanimously. <br /> <br />2. Approval of Addendum and/or supplemental Agenda, <br />No supplemental agenda. <br /> <br />3. Communications sent: Draft Minutes from the April 27, 2016 Action <br />Committee Meeting were sent to AC members and the Planning Director, <br />Hiram’s letter was sent to the Director, and both Matsukawa’s letters were <br />sent to the Director. <br /> <br /> Hiram Rivera said the communications were sent and to date, there have <br />been no responses to Hiram’s letter. <br /> <br />PRESENTATIONS TO ACTION COMMITTEE <br />1. April Surprenant, Planning Program Manager, Long-Range Planning <br />Division, County of Hawaii Planning Department will discuss the progress of the <br />General Plan Comprehensive Review via telephone conference call. <br /> <br />
