Steering Committee Review of Community Input, September 2016 Review Document 2 of 4 o Support community organizations such as the Waipi'o Valley Stakeholders Alliance, the Waipi'o Community Circle, the Traditional Waipi'o Taro Farmers Assoc., and Ha Ola O Waipi'o Valley in developing and implementing a community-based watershed plan based on the Waipi'o Valley Stream Management Plan. " Rationale: This minor revision is based on internal feedback. It provides clarity to the organization of the policy but it does not substantively alter the intent. Section 5: Strengthen Infrastructure, Facilities, and Services 5.13 Expand Parks & Recreation Facilities 9. Revise County Action Policy 100: Add "volleyball court" to list of facility assessments. Rationale: This addition was suggested by the community and is in line with CDP recreation objectives. 10. Revise County Action Policy 101: Add additional facility improvements including: Honoka'a — lower and upper field concession roof; Honoka'a pool and roof; Pa'auilo — annex roof; Papa'aloa — gym and annex roof; Papa'ikou — gym/ community center roof. Add language for regular termite and other pest assessments and treatments at each Community Center and Parks facility. Rationale: These additions were identified by the community. Chapter IV: Community Action Guide NOTE: While the Community Actions are part of the Community Development Plan, the Community Action Guide itself contains supplemental information that is not part of the ordinance. The intent is to keep this document updated and 'dynamic' as circumstances and organizations change. So far here are some revisions to the guide identified by the Community: 11. Revise Community Action Guide: a. Community Action 15: i. In the "Potential Next Steps" section: Add that public access -focused groups can be formed to manage specific accesses, such as "Friends of Public Access" in implementing this action. ii. Add MAMA Mauka Makai Access as potential partners. b. Community Actions 26-20: Add P6h5h5 i Ka Lani as potential partners (Waipi'o Valley). c.
