Second, State and County <br />Agricultural Parks do not allow lessees to build <br />homes and occupy the land in residency. This <br />comment may have been directed towards the <br />community suggestion of encouraging agrihoods <br />on coastal agricultural lands.] <br />■ Agrihood = neighborhood housing development <br />based on farming. [No change: this concept is <br />possible via existing Planned Unit Development <br />or Cluster Plan Development regulations. <br />■ Everybody says protect ag but system isn't <br />working - works for bigger parcels but not for <br />smaller - In order to have successful ag, you <br />need ag knowledge & input from farmers - Need <br />large acreages available (like 500 acres) leased <br />at reasonable rates.
