As of the March 2016 CIP status report, existing Puna CIP appropriations totaled approximately <br />$92 million. The total appropriation includes CIP requests from agencies and only defines the <br />total value of current CIP projects approved and listed on the CIP status report. Actual funding <br />for projects may be substantially lower than that appropriated. <br />The only Operating Budget request was for $20,000.00. The requested funds were to be used to <br />contract with a person qualified to assist the PCDP Planner and the PCDP AC in the ongoing <br />efforts to implement the PCDP. <br />Guidance and Advocacy: <br />The PCDP AC did not comment on applications for change of zone, State Land Use Boundary <br />Amendments, or special permits within the PCDP planning area during this reporting period. <br />Puna CDP Amendments: <br />The PCDP AC did not propose any amendment to the PCDP during this reporting period. <br />Puna CDP Implementation Update: <br />The PCDP AC, State of Hawaii, County of Hawaii and other private or community groups <br />have engaged in a variety of projects either consistent with the goals and objectives of the PCDP <br />or specific Actions called for within the plan.
