Hawaii Police Commission <br />Meeting Agenda <br />December 16, 2016 <br />Page 2 <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />• Selection of Police Commission Chair and Vice Chair for 2017 <br />(CLOSED SESSION AT APPROXIMATELY 10:00 A.M.) <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION (Closed to the public.) <br />The commission will meet in executive session to consider discipline and charges <br />against officers or employees of the Hawaii Police Department, to consider sensitive <br />matters relating to public safety, to review the evaluation of an employee, and may <br />consult with Corporation Counsel on questions and issues pertaining to the <br />commission's powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities pursuant to HRS 92- <br />5 (a) (2) (4) (6) and the Hawaii County Charter Section 13-20 (b). <br />• Discussion on Chief Harry Kubojiri's Annual Evaluation <br />• Discussion on the Police Chief's Program of Work for 2017 <br />Consideration and Investigation of Complaints <br />✓ HPC 16-34: Complainant complained of an officer's speeding during his <br />transport. <br />✓ HPC 16-38: Complainant requested a reconsideration of the commission's <br />decision that there was insufficient evidence to prove the allegations of <br />misconduct. <br />✓ HPC 16-39: Complainant alleged that the officer wrote the wrong information on <br />the police report, and that the other driver should have gotten another citation. <br />✓ HPC 16-41: Complainant alleged that officers used excessive force during his <br />arrest. <br />✓ HPC 16-42: Complainant alleged that officers broker her screen door and took <br />her children away from her. <br />✓ HPC 16-43: Complainant alleged that an officer was involved in the seizure of <br />his wife's vehicle, and he wants it returned. <br />• Correspondence16-07, request for representation by Corporation Counsel in <br />CV 16-1-01359 for Officers Kimo Veincent and Bryson Miyose. <br />• Status Report of Referred and Internal Complaints <br />
