PV – ROOF MOUNTED <br /> <br />1. PLAN REVIEW AND APPROVALS <br /> <br />Per Norman Scheel Structural Engineer, Norman J. Scheel, PE, SE, and the <br />certification, specifications and details dated June 1, 2012: The SnapNrack <br />PV Mounting System is approved for use and may be installed on <br />residential homes with gable roofs in Wind Zones B, and C, and Seismic <br />Zones A, B, C, D and do not require a licensed Hawai‘i state architect or <br />structural engineer’s review and approval (a professional stamp) when <br />designed and installed per the manufacturer’s recommended installation span <br />1 <br />tables and guidelines. <br /> <br />A licensed Hawaii state architect or structural engineer must review and <br />approve applications within ¼ mile of the ocean (Wind Exposure D), or <br />Seismic Zone “E”. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Issued by: David Yamamoto, Building Division Chief <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />The County of Hawai‘i is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Provider <br /> <br />
