The point is the state should have followed the law <br />and done the right thing in the first place. <br />Please join us in doing the right thing with regard to geothermal regulation. <br />Preemption may appropriately occur in some circumstances to protect the environment, <br />under -represented minorities, and other special situations. However, the use of State <br />power to remove the ability of the County to protect its people and environment is the <br />opposite of representative democracy.
