Kossow <br />Depu(v Ifanaging Director <br />The County of Hawaii is pleased to provide this letter of support of the application by the Coalition <br />for Specialized Housing (CSH) to the Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation (HHFDC) <br />for funding assistance through the Federal and State Low Income Housing Tax Credit programs, and <br />other state-sponsored finance programs for the development of the Waikoloa Affordable Family Rental <br />Housing Project (Waikoloa Project). <br />The proposed master -planned Waikoloa Project consists of 110 rental units in 18 rental <br />apartment buildings. The unit mix will include 39 one -bedroom units, 71 two-bedroom units, and a two- <br />bedroom manager's unit. The apartment units will be reserved for families that earn 60 percent and/or <br />less of the County's median income. <br />The proposed project will provide much-needed affordable rental housing opportunities for the <br />very low-income families in our community.
