C  Kailua-Kona, Hawai‘i 96740 <br />(808) 323-4444  Fax (808) 323-4440 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />April 24, 2017 <br /> <br />NEWS RELEASE <br /> <br /> <br />County to Hold Tsunami Training Exercise April 26 and April 28 <br /> <br />The County of Hawaii Departments of Public Works, Parks and Recreation, and Civil <br />Defense, in partnership with State Highways and the Hawaii Island Safety and Security <br />Professional Association, will conduct an island-wide training exercise to prepare for <br />tsunami emergency response. <br /> <br />The exercise will take place on Wednesday, April 26 and Friday, April 28 from 9:00 <br />a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on each day. <br /> <br />No road closures or traffic delays are anticipated during the exercise.
