Public Hearings <br />Takaba: Application No. 16-20 Food Pantry, Ltd., dba Accents (Mauna Kea Beach <br />Hotel), for a change of location within the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. <br />1. Application No. 16-20 <br />Food Pantry, Ltd., dba Accents (Mauna Kea Beach Hotel), for a <br />change of location within the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel to its Retail <br />General liquor license, located at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, <br />62-100 Mauna Kea Beach Drive, Kamuela, Hawaii, TMK: 6-2-002:004. <br />Andy Kawano, Officer, was present and Dexter Hironaga, District <br />Manager, was also present. <br />Takaba: Good morning. <br />Kawano: Good morning Commissioners and staff, my name is Andy Kawano. I'm an <br />officer of Food Pantry, Ltd. I have with me Dexter Hironaga. He's our District Manager of <br />Operations. <br />Takaba: Thank you. Do you have any changes to your report? <br />Kawano: No, we have no changes to our application. <br />Takaba: Can you describe your business in general. <br />Kawano: Yes. Food Pantry, Ltd. is in the business of retail. Most of our business serves <br />in tourist areas and hotels and resorts where we operate sundries stores. We have some <br />apparel stores and convenient stores. We have four small, what we call, superettes. We <br />have two in Waikiki. We have one in Makakilo and one in Apili on Maui. That's essentially <br />it. <br />Takaba: Thank you. Director Takase, do you have any report of protest? <br />Takase: Mr. Chairman, the applicant mailed one out of one notices within one hundred <br />feet and one out of one within five hundred feet. There were no protests to this <br />application. <br />Takaba: Thank you. Is there any public testimony on this matter? If none, do we have <br />any questions from the Commissioners?
