V. STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC None. <br />VI. CORRESPONDENCE None. <br />VII. REPORTS <br />A. State CSW Liaison. <br />• Cyd is attending the State CSW today. We look forward to an <br />update from her at our July 2017 meeting. <br />II. OLD BUSINESS <br />A. Teen Dating Violence <br />• Deb reported that the program that was working on the video was <br />unable to follow through with a finished product. Jewel and Deb <br />will continue to brainstorm project ideas and share at next <br />month's meeting. Subcommittee remains Deb and Jewel. <br />ACTION: The project plan will be shared at the July 2017 meeting. <br />B. Real Women Essay Contest <br />• Subcommittee consisted of Farrah, Lee -Ann, and Tammy. Goal is <br />to send information to schools in early September 2017. <br />• December 2017 is the month to be more proactive in reaching out <br />with schools to follow up. Early contact with teachers will provide <br />time for teachers to work with students and work into their <br />curriculum. <br />• Deb volunteered to engage schools in Waikoloa, Honoka'a and <br />Kohala to provide additional support. <br />• Nomination of Committee made by Jewel and seconded by Mele. <br />Subcommittee consists of Farrah, Tammy, Lee -Ann, and Deb for <br />the 2018 Real Women Contest Essay Committee. <br />C. Hawaii Island Women's Leadership Forum <br />• Brooke reported that the HIWLF is still in the planning stage of <br />building a committee. <br />• HIWLF event dates tentatively set for April 20, 2018. Event to be <br />held at the Hilton. <br />• Brooke is the HIWLF Chair for Summit and Farrah is the HIWLF <br />Chair for Professional Development. <br />• The first of PD events is happening on July 20 in Kona and July <br />21 in Hilo. Terry Bump will be speaker. Locations to be confirmed. <br />Context focused on "working with 5 generations in the workforce". <br />Veterans, Boomers, Gen X, Millenials, Gen Z — Question: What is <br />it that leaders need to know? <br />2 <br />
