Develop Plan <br />Public Hearings <br />Public hearings are a requirement and play an essential role in the planning process. Public <br />hearings afford the general public an opportunity to comment and provide needed input to <br />proposed Area Plans. Public hearings were held in East and West Hawai'i in August, 2015. <br />Public informational meetings were planned in the major districts of the island where the public <br />can gain information on the plan and submit public comment, if desired.
