2. Communication No. 2017-14: AC-DPR Administrative Rules for Farmer's Market Operations <br />at County Parks and Facilities: The Action Committee will discuss and consider transmitting a <br />draft letter to the Department of Parks and Recreation in response to their letter <br />(Communication No. 2017-10.1) re: Permitting Farmer's Market Operations at County Parks <br />and Facilities. <br />REPORTS and OTHER PRESENTATIONS: <br />3. Update from the Connectivity and Emergency Response Subcommittee (CERS) (Patti Pinto - <br />Chair): The purpose of the CERS is to follow the vision and the mission of the PCDP in <br />implementing connectivity actions related to the overall theme of health and safety. <br />Members of the subcommittee will inform the AC on their recent activities, which are <br />reflected in the following communications: <br />Communication Nos. 2017-11; 2017-11.1, and 2017-13: CERS discussion on <br />continued connectivity work in upper Puna, the Mayor's Puna Connectivity <br />Committee that is being formed, and objectives for CERS moving forward. <br />4. Communication No. 2017-12: Budget Subcommittee 2018-2019FY: The Budget <br />Subcommittee compiled a list of current Capital Improvement Program (CIP) items in the <br />Puna CDP planning area. No new CIP requests will be submitted for the 2018-2019FY. <br />AGENDA FOR NEXT MEETING: Agenda item suggestions from the Action Committee and <br />Planning Staff for the October 10, 2017 meeting. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />This agenda and all related documents can be viewed and downloaded from the following <br />website, http://www.hawaiicountvcdp.info/about-cdps under the respective CDP. These <br />documents may also be requested from the Planning Department by calling (808) 961-8288 or <br />emailing puna@hawaiicountv.gov. <br />NOTICE: The purpose of the public hearings is to afford all interested persons a reasonable <br />opportunity to be heard on the above items. According to the Operating Guidelines of the <br />Community Development Plan Action Committee, a person desiring to submit oral or written <br />testimony shall indicate her/his name and whether the testimony is her/his behalf or as a <br />representative of an organization or individual. Written testimony shall be submitted with an <br />original and nine copies prior to testifying. The Committee would appreciate timely submittal to <br />the Planning Department at least one week prior to the meeting date to allow for mailing and <br />thorough Committee review. <br />Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service, other reasonable modification, or language <br />interpretation to access this meeting please contact the Planning Department at (808) 961-8288 <br />as soon as possible, but no later than five working days prior to the meeting date, to arrange for <br />accommodations.
