Takaba: Motion carried. The motion was carried unanimously. Takaba: We are on Item 2, Oceans Sports Bar and Grill. 2. Limberg Inc., dba Oceans Sports Bar and Grill, submits letter to request events to take place on the common area lawn outside of Oceans Sports Bar and Grill on Friday nights from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M., received on July 17, 2017, to its Dispenser General liquor license, Category B2, located at the Coconut Grove Marketplace, 75-5811 Ali`i Drive, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Takase: Shirley had come in with a request to allow music on the lawn area, fronting her establishment, on Friday nights between 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. I think she said she's had it twice since then. It's a way for them to drum up business, well not them but the old Coconut Grove Shopping area. We went ahead and approved it. I told her I would bring it before the Commission. I wanted to do it ahead of time so we could get a reading on it. They've done it twice now and haven't had any problems. I think it's good for the businesses in the area. Onizuka: Is this increasing the licensed premise? Takase: No, they are not serving liquor at all. It is just for entertainment. Takaba: No motion necessary. Lopez: I have a question. How are you monitoring the alcohol from the restaurant? Takase: There's no alcohol out there. Lopez: How are you monitoring somebody in the bar or the restaurant coming out? Hull: Our employees. Lopez: So you're on top of that. Have you had any reason to stop somebody? Hull: Nope. Takase: They can't leave with any alcohol anyway. Nobody can leave an establishment with alcohol. Lopez: I understand that. Can or can't is not the issue. I was just asking how they are monitoring when they exit from the door. Takaba: If no one has a motion, we will move on to Item 3.
